Healthy Eating Made Fun and Easy with the Benriner Slicers

There’s a lot of ways we can start this article, but there’s no better way to say it than what Shape has to say, “With one life-changing kitchen gadget, you can enjoy all the flavor, taste, and texture of your favorite pasta dishes for a fraction of the carbs and calories.”

Because let’s face it, we crave pasta every now and then and downing two helpful servings of mum’s yummy spaghetti or a few trips to our favourite Italian restaurant on a regular is not exactly diet friendly.

The good news is, there’s only one kitchen tool you need to recreate any pasta dish without the guilt.
Say hello to the Benriner Slicers, or popularly known as spiralizers. If you haven’t joined the spiralized-veggie cooking bandwagon yet, well it’s time that you do.
And this is not only for those who are conscious about their health but it’s also a fun way to serve healthy meals for the whole family!

9 Types of Pizza Crust: Which One is your Favourite?

There are many types of pizza crust and if you’re planning to make a homemade pizza, we’re here to help you decide which crust is best for your recipe!

Thin Crust

"This crust has a nice bit of crunch, but it's pliable enough to fold in half if required. The mild wheat flavor is a nice backdrop to whatever toppings you want to layer on top.
Since we're keeping the crust on the thinner side, this dough doesn't actually require time to rise. You roll it out after kneading it briefly and let it rest on the counter while you prepare the toppings. When it goes in the oven, the heat gives the bread a quick burst of rising, so it will still have some chew when you bite into it." - TheKitchn.com

Thick Crust

"Definitely not thin crust, and the least thick of the thick varieties at about half an inch, the traditional pan pizza is a happy medium for most pizza lovers. This is the style of crust that was made widely popular by Pizza Hut, and is characterized by its buttery, pan-fried taste and texture on the outside, with a soft and chewy center. It’s a crust that’s loved by people all across the country, regardless of the region, and it’s perfect for adding custom flavors." - AKcrust.com

Deep Dish (Chicago-Style)

"Deep Dish puts the pie in pizza pie. There's no doubt about it -- Chicago is home to the richest, most decadent pizza around. It takes a good 45 minutes to make and makes for a heavy take-out box (if there are any leftovers). Deep dish style crust has an enormous amount of gooey cheese, pizza sauce, and endless toppings hidden in between those rich layers." - Spoon University

Flatbread Crust

"Flatbread—the fancy sister to pizza—is basically the LBD of finger food. You can’t go wrong by serving one (or three), be it as an appetizer, dinner or snack." - Pure Wow

Focaccia Crust

"Just like Saturday pizza night, focaccia pizza is laid-back and casual—no need to stress about the straightforward yeast dough (follow our recipe here), or even roll it out (it’s stretched by hand to fit a rectangular baking sheet). The topping possibilities are pretty much endless." - Chow Hound

Here are four more styles of pizza crust that we love:

Cheese-stuffed Crust

Sausage-stuffed Crust

Wood-fired Crust
